Windows Aik Server 2012 ((LINK)) Download

You can use the Windows Automated Installation Kit (AIK) for Windows 7 and the same AIK can be used other Windows operating systems (Windows 2012 / 2012 R2 ). You can download the AIK from the link given below :

If you are using Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, Windows10, or Windows 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016, there may be no need to download Windows AIK. You can directly make a Windows PE bootable CD with AOMEI Backupper.

Hi Bettygrp. I have had to completely reload my small business server essentials 2012 R2 and I am also looking for the ADK1.1 for winsvr2012 where did you find it as I have been looking all over for it and cannot find it.

As you know, Hyper-V Server 2012 R2 is a free Hypervisor provided by Microsoft. It is a standalone server with only the Hyper-V role on it. Although it is free, it has all the bells and whistles that the Hyper-V server role in Windows Server 2012 R2 has.

Nowadays with the advent of Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 you no longer require WAIK for use with Configuration Manager 2012 SP1. Instead you should download and install ADK. Be aware that this download is effectively a web installer, once you run adksetup.exe you are given the option to download on the fly or store the installation files elsewhere.

*! Update: 2014-09-30:Looking for the latest version of ADK 8.1, see my most recent post -up-on-downloading-windows-assessment-and-deployment-kit-windows-adk-8-1-september-2014/

WinPE version: 3.0Supported target Windows versions: Windows server 2008 and Windows server 2008r2. The doc mentions it also support Windows 8 and Windows server 2012, but xCAT recommends to use WinPE 4.0 which is generated by genimage.cmd for Windows server 2012 deployment.

Small companies that do not have Active Directory implemented can use the stand-alone WDS server. In the past this was very difficult to set up properly. The new Expected Deployment Results Wizard can identify which driver groups would be applied to a prestaged device if a deployment were performed without actually performing the migration. TFTP traffic and multicasting of images over IPV 6 is now supported. Deploying ARM clients is supported and actual deployments are faster. Now images are applied as they are downloaded, not in two separate steps where we downloaded the image and then applied it. WDS 2012 applies the image as it is downloaded.
